Kathy Davis is an accomplished Senior Executive, Attorney, Entrepreneur, Board Member, and Thought Leader with more than 20 years of success. Her broad areas of expertise include trademark, licensing, negotiation, public speaking, innovation, communications, research, social media, policy analysis, conflict management, compliance, regulatory, governance, foreclosure, and the juvenile court system.
In her current role as Owner of the small firm, KJD, she is responsible for providing advice and assistance to small business owners. Projects include the protection of intellectual property, business strategy and advice, contracts and negotiations, as well as creating succession planning and exit strategies. Kathy has worked with hundreds of business owners to protect their intellectual property and their business interests.
Concurrently, Kathy serves as a court-appointed counsel in the Juvenile Court of Chatham County and as a court-appointed guardian ad litem for both Chatham County Superior Court and the Juvenile Court of Chatham County. Kathy is a member of the National Association of the Counsel for Children. She has completed more than 40 hours of continuing education in issues affecting her service as a guardian ad litem, including children’s legal issues, trauma, autism, school law and more. She has represented well over 150 children as either children’s counsel or guardian ad litem since entering this field.
Kathy holds a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis and a BA in Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington. She has served as a Board Member of the Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership and Advisory Board Member for Hendricks County Community Foundation.
